ALL ABOUT JLC!

Our fee structure is kept simple for everyone help; we have no hidden costs or compulsory requirements for non-competition families.

Our classes are all priced at $17.00 each (charged per term x weeks in the term) 

we offer a family discount schedule as per the below. No registration fee is charged at JLC.

Family Multi-Class Discounts
The first class is full price. Additional classes receive increasing discounts and:

• Classes 2–3: 5% off
• Classes 4–5: 10% off
• Classes 6–7: 15% off
• Classes 8+: 20% off

Discounts are tiered and apply only to the class(es) within each tier. Discounts do not apply retroactively to previously enrolled classes. 

 A $20.00 administrative fee will be applied to any payment plans set up through the studio.
 

A $15.00 weekly late fee will apply to any outstanding balances if no communication has been made with us regarding payment.

* Competition students do have some mandatory requirements as per below.

An $80.00 annual administration fee - we don't charge any extra on top of the actual competition prices and we handle all the enrollments for competitions.

Competition Students are required to do a minimum of one Ballet class per week (excl hip hop and musical theatre)

Competition students are required to attend the class genre they are competing in alongside the competition specific classes E.G. troupes and solos class.

Private lessons are required to learn solo dances however the technique is then taught in solos class.

We Schedule our timetable to make life easier for Parents and students, our classes are grouped as per genres/ages so theres a longer period at JLC however over less days freeing up your week for other commitments and allowing enough time for you as a parent to go run some errands while your Child dances multiple classes.

 CUA10120 CERTIFICATE I IN DANCE (for ages 12+)

CUA20120 CERTIFICATE II IN DANCE (for ages 13+)

CUA30120 CERTIFICATE III IN DANCE (for ages 14+)

CUA30320 CERTIFICATE III IN ASSISTANT DANCE TEACHING (for ages 14+)

Students will undertake the theory elements of their Nationally Recognised Training directly through Empowerdance,  and will complete all practical elements through JLC Dance Company.

Theory sessions are scheduled each week and are all delivered online with one of Empowerdance’s chief trainers.

STUDENT COMMITMENT 

The CUA10120 Certificate I In Dance requires students to attend live online theory classes 1 hours per week over 25 weeks

The CUA20120 Certificate II In Dance requires students to attend live online theory classes 1 hours per week over 30 weeks.

The CUA30120 Certificate III In Dance requires students to attend live online theory classes that will run for 2 hours per week over 45 weeks. 

The CUA30320 Certificate III In Assistant Dance Teaching requires students to attend live online theory classes that will run for 1.5 hours per week over 45 weeks

The CUA40320 Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management requires students to attend 2 live online theory classes for a total of 3 hours per week over 45 weeks. This course is also available in a self paced format for students aged 18+. 

STUDENT COMMITMENT – PRACTICAL

Students will choose their practical units that are then completed at JLC during regular after school/weekend schedule. There is no need to attend extra classes to accommodate the ELEVATE program. The electives/styles they choose will determine how many hours they are required to complete as a part of their Certification.

JLC Dance company believes that dance competitions are there to win dance trophies. We hand out our end of year trophies based on our core values which allows every one of our students the chance to get one of our prestigious awards, regardless of how many classes attended or thir physical abilities. This approach levels the playing feild and creates a fantastic enviroment where our students work towards being the best people they can be, not just the best dancers.
