2025 Teaching Staff

 


Studio Owner and Director- Miss Jessica Cox

 

Miss Cox trained at the Graduate College of Dance, The Australian Ballet School, and the Royal Ballet School in London. She began professional training at 15 years of age at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, becoming the youngest female accepted into the graduate course. Jess then had the opportunity to experience a season with the West Australian Ballet Company before moving to Paris to perform with the Moulin Rouge. Miss Cox then moved back home and opened JLC Dance Company.


Mr Jeremy Gates

Jeremy Gates is an Australian ballet artist and teacher with international experience. He trained at Mannheim Academy under Stuttgart Ballet legends after graduating from Tanya Pearson Academy. At 21, he became a soloist with Thuringian State Ballet, performing lead roles in major classics. Following a career-ending injury, he taught at Brent Street and Ev & Bow and in 2024–2025, he choreographed for Ballet Blanc and now contributes to JLC Dance Company


Miss Dakota Pages

Dakota has been dancing and competing from the age of 3. Dakota has completed ATOD Exams covering multiple genres, aswell as sitting her RAD ballet exams. Dakota has travelled Australia to compete in National ATOD Scholarships. Dakota attended John Curtin College of the Arts Contemporary Program where she completed her Certificate 2 in Dance. Dakota trained under JLC for the past four years and is now super excited to share her passion and knowledge to her students.


Miss Melissa O'Reilly

Melissa trained in both the U.K and Australia where she completed RAD and BBO exams in many genres. Melissa attended John Curtin College of the Arts Dance Program, where she achieved a High Distinction Certificate 2 in Dance as well as completing an ATAR course in dance, where she graduated in the top 10th highest scoring percentile in the state for both written and practical dance. Melissa has trained with JLC for the past 7 years and hopes to inspire other young dancers.
